Department of Justice creates a ruse of an appeal on grizzly delisting in order to corner Wyoming’s unhinged officials for mental facility admittance.

San Francisco, CALIFORNIA (Enviro Snowflake Brief)— After the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals heard oral arguments on whether Yellowstone grizzlies should be protected under the Endangered Species Act (ESA) on May 5th, the Department of Justice issued a Psychological Order requiring senior Wyoming Game & Fish  officials committed to a mental hospital, under a “suicide watch.”

Department of Justice attorney Joan Pepin, who represented the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, said, “Don’t get me wrong we want grizzly delisting to happen too, however, these Wyoming officials are unhinged-crazy when it comes to obsessing over their right to kill animals.”

“I’m not sure what they will do to themselves when we likely lose again in court here.”

Wyoming’s attorney, Jay Jerde, presented baseless arguments on behalf of intervenors. A real wildlife loving bunch… including Idaho, the NRA, Safari Club, and livestock groups.

Give us the keys to grizzly bear management, OR GIVE US DEATH,” shouted Brian Nesvik, WGFD Director, and Dan Thompson, large carnivore Supervisor, during the courtroom breaks.

Several major livestock producers were observed proudly prompting WGFD officials to keep shouting their mantra. Federal attorney Pepin added, “It was weird, and I want them evaluated and safe.”

Louisa Wilcox, who has advocated for grizzly bear protections for over 30 years, said the hearing was “about little more than the federal government giving Wyoming another stage to throw another fit.”

Little did Wilcox know how mentally unglued Wyoming officials have become obsessing over grizzly delisting.

Ms. Pepin explained, “Even though we filed the appeal for the hearing, we (Feds) simply used it as a ruse. The goal was to secure all the ‘Wyoming crazies’ in the building at once so it would be easier to restrain them and load up to the mental facility.”

The 9th Circuit Court of Appeals decision is expected in the next several months, but most legal scholars believe the court will uphold the lower court decision to keep Yellowstone grizzlies protected, given Yellowstone grizzlies’ long-term uncertainty of survival because of genetic isolation, and climate change consequences.

Ms. Wilcox said leaving the courthouse, “Virtually all of the government’s research to delist relied on flawed assumptions, faulty logic, and data that the government tenaciously hides.

Wyoming officials will be moved to the padded (safety) room for their own protection once the hospital is notified by the 9th Circuit a ruling has been made to uphold Yellowstone grizzly protections.
