A large protest of anti-mask, anti-government protesters of all ages gathered at the Idaho Capital to burn masks, and demand an end to science class in public schools.

Boise, IDAHO (Enviro Snowflake Brief)— Idaho Republicans proudly claim the state has more anti-government, white nationalists, QAnon following Americans than any state, and who would argue after the impressive “mask burning” protest at the Capital last weekend, as a prelude to their announcement demanding the Republican state-controlled legislature to ban science class in public schools.

“All the fake news about the “Wu Flu” is yesterday’s news to us, we are here to demand science be removed from our tax paying public schools, at least through middle school- our kids fortunately quit between sixth and seventh grade,” said one animated mother of four sporting a Confederate flag jean jacket.

Another mask burning middle aged white male protester, who was wearing a t-shirt with a gray wolf logo and the caption, “Smoke a Pack a Day,” articulated his family’s outrage with science. “Our tax dollars are funding these fake news liberal talking points, like ozone something, climate masturbaters or something, ecosystems- whatever that means, and now all this silly mask stuff over the fake pandemic.”

An extremely aggressive local public lands cattle rancher approached us while we were interviewing other disgruntled anti-mask, anti-science protesters. He angrily told us, “We don’t need no National Science Bowl competition forced on our middle schoolers by the federal government. It scares our children, and terrifies the parents when they accuse our cows of farting too much.”

However, quite proudly, he and the larger gathering around us, wanted us to make sure we told our readers, “Republican Idahoans are very proud of our 51st ranking for per-pupil spending on education (dead last in country), but need to race to the bottom of overall education, given we moved up a spot from 40th to 39th.”

Idaho Lt. Gov. Janice McGeachin and state Rep. Dorothy Moon addressed the crowd, after leading chants of “Freedom is the Cure.”

Rep. Moon shouted to the far-right wing crowd, “science is now on the table for removal” and the protesters went wild in response, knowing the Idaho Republican slogan, Build Idaho’s Future was in the right hands to guide our leaders of tomorrow without prejudice of science.
