STEVENS COUNTY, WASHINGTON (Enviro Snowflake Brief- Not Real News)— Eastern Washington cattle rancher, Len McIrvin, who is the face of endangered wolves being killed by the state, launched a GoFundMe campaign yesterday to raise funds to pay off his Sam’s Club Mastercard by empathetic Stevens County residents.

McIrvin complains in the GoFundMe pitch that he has “devastatingly” high expenses he incurred by prepaying a 2020 New Year’s Carnival Cruise Line Cozumel trip for high ranking officials within Washington Department of Fish & Wildlife, select members of the Wolf Advisory Group, one state legislator, and surprisingly, one Executive Director of a Northwest wildlife advocacy.

Rancher Len McIrvin and the Diamond M Ranch are responsible for killing an astonishing 85 percent of wolves killed through depredation permits in Washington on public lands in recent years,” stated Rob Wielgus, the former director of the Large Carnivore Conservation Laboratory at Washington State University.

“Len makes it clear to anyone who will listen his cattle takes priority over wildlife on public lands, and he has always been confident the state was on his “team.” Apparently, we now know on the cruise team!

Our sources close to the family told us McIrvin was alerted by his attorney last night that giving Carnival Cruise Line trips to state employees or elected officials would fall under the bribery statue, and it prescribes stiff penalties, including jail time. The GoFundMe campaign was deleted this morning.

In addition, much of an early morning family and friends meeting with Len McIrvin attempted to explain to him if he cancels the booked cruises, Sam’s Mastercard will not let him keep his cashback reward points. Sources tell us Len was irate and exclaimed “this is just another federal government violation of state’s rights.”

By noon today, Len’s son, Bill McIrvin, released a hastily prepared statement claiming his father was victim of a hacker who created the GoFundMe campaign. Bill writes, “My Father knows nothing, nor does he know how those Carnival Cruise Line charges are on his Sam’s Mastercard bill.”

Trouble for McIrvin may be getting much worse as the wolves appear to be at his doorstep. The Spokesman-Review is wrapping up an investigative story on McIrvin and his unusually close ties to several of the alleged beneficiaries of the New Year’s cruises, and apparently their report will verify the cruises purchased by McIrvin.

The Spokane-Review’s McIrvin story will be the second major investigative report on Len McIrvin’s powerful and strange influence on Washington’s wolf management policies- Seattle Times published last October  “My Holy Cow”.
