Wisconsin one of only seven states that allow both baiting and hounding in some capacity, but it is the most blatant in ignoring killing atrocities and conflicts with endangered gray wolves.

MADISON, Wisconsin (Enviro Snowflake Brief)— Governor Scott Walker has unveiled a new Tourism Board campaign this fall to promote Wisconsin as the destination for ethically challenged hunters to use baiting and hounds to hunt black bears, and why not, when the state boasts of 4,692 bears killed last year.

“The campaign slogan, with some fun graphics, will appear on billboards in rural areas across the Midwest beginning later this month,” announced Stephanie Klett, Secretary of the Wisconsin Department of Tourism;

“WISCONSIN… MAKE YOUR HOUND HUNTER DREAMS COME TRUE! NO RULES, NO MERCY, NO DNR IN VIEW… BAIT, HOUND, SHOOT.

Ricky Bobby, a Michigan houndsman explained, “God I love that state! It’s like ‘shooting fish in a barrel’ over there, and my first cousin and wife, Judy, loves how we can just sit in the truck drinking beer until the dogs tree’um.”

Wisconsin has gained an infamous reputation with conservation movements, such as Wolf Patrol, which has Citizen Monitoring Programs whereby members engage in the witnessing and documentation of illegal hunting practices and conflicts with endangered gray wolves. However, among “houndsmen” Wisconsin is their killing playground state.

Gov. Scott, said at the announcement party that they kicked off the bear season this month by having DNR officers’ hand out “Make America Great Again” hats to all “hounder” pickup trucks crossing into the state, which were generously donated by the NRA.

Wolf Patrol’s animal activist volunteers were not offered hats.
