BOSTON (Enviro Snowflake Brief)— Boston Globe’s investigative Spotlight Team, has uncovered a nine-year bizarre conspiracy by Wayne MacCallum, the retired Director of MassWildlife, to blackball esteemed canid wildlife biologist, Dr. Jonathan G. Way.
Dr. Way told the Boston Globe, “MacCallum directed his Division of Fisheries & Wildlife to defame me and my work, disrupt my professional affiliations and stop me from conducting myth busting coyote research.”
According to the Spotlight lead reporter, Sacha Pfeiffer, “This case is beyond bizarre. MacCallum deluded himself to believe Dr. Way had taught eastern coyotes how to talk. Yes, talk.”
Pfeiffer explained, “MacCallum believed Dr. Way, and his talking coyotes, were cooperating with the federal government to build a case against his secretive extreme right-wing hunting investment club, which for years planned to open what they call ‘a Coyote Killing Amusement Park’ on Cape Cod. MacCallum had placed his life savings into the venture.”
Where was the oversight of this state agency?
“The mood of the Governor is cranky today,” says an anonymous staffer. “We know the Commonwealth will have to pay out a massive settlement to Dr. Way for years of wrongful persecution.”
The good news and retribution for Jonathan Way is he will finally have the funds and undoubtedly get the permits to make his dream of building a coywolf research center on Cape Cod a reality.
