LAURIER, Washington (Enviro Snowflake Brief). A startling transformation shared in the Capital Press today by Len McIrvin, the unapologetic wolf hating public land rancher in eastern Washington.
McIrvin explains why he is turning his Diamond M Ranch into a gray wolf sanctuary, paired with a cow petting zoo, in which all his cattle will live out their lives on his private property.
Len says in the Capital Press article, “the killing has to stop, and it starts with the McIrvins.”
McIrvin describes the epiphany moment that changed his life, “As I looked into the dark, pain-filled eyes of the calf lying in a dense thicket, I realized my cruelty by dumping her completely defenseless on to national forest land near denning wolves.”
McIrvin added, “At no fault of God’s beautiful wolves, I cause these horrible deaths to my little calves.”
Joel Kretz, a rabid anti-wolf state legislator was reached for comment and was clearly agitated by Len McIrvin’s news.
“Yea, he’s lost his mind. I heard he’s trying to hire former Washington State University wolf biologist Dr. Robert Wielgus to set-up stupid nonlethal practices to protect the cow petting zoo. I really hate Wielgus too.”
