BOISE, IDAHO (Enviro Snowflake Brief)— It was revealed today Idaho Gov. Brad Little requires each candidate he considers to serve on his Fish & Game Commission to take what he named the Idaho Wildlife Pride Test (IWPT), according to a former staffer in the Governor’s office.
Here are the rancher and hunter developed IWPT questions the former staffer says each prospective Fish & Game Commissioner has to answer for Gov. Little. A candidate must answer “yes” to all the test questions to move forward in the process.
- Do you believe the earth is flat? Yes/No
- Do you believe climate change is a hoax? Yes/No
- Do you believe wolves will kill all our elk without IDFG’s management? Yes/No
- Do you believe “trophic cascades” controlling ecosystems is a hoax? Yes/No
- Do you agree wolves are similar to cockroaches and should be treated as such? Yes/No
- Do you agree, as long as IDFG only applies wildlife management science prior to 1920, lethal removal is the only option for any native predators depredating Idaho rancher’s livestock? Yes/No
- Do you believe wolves kill for sport versus for sustenance and survival? Yes/No
- Do you believe Idaho provides a fun family-oriented weekend to seek out wolf dens and torture any pups you find? Yes/No
- Do you support a grizzly bear hunting season if delisted as long the state has at least (5) bears regardless of sex? Yes/No
- Do you agree trappers are the backbone of Idaho’s heart, and pledge your fealty to all their proposed policy requests, if you are on the Commission? Yes/No
The Idaho Wildlife Pride Test is administered for Gov. Little by former Idaho Fish and Game Commissioner Blake Fischer, who resigned in disgrace in 2018 after posing with a “family of baboons” he shot during his trip to Namibia.
The Governor was asked on the steps of the Capital today if he suffers from cognitive dissonance by criticizing Blake Fischer in 2018 for killing a family of baboons, but endorsing the most aggressive and cruelest killing practices of iconic gray wolves of any state except for Wyoming.
“Not at all. All the IDFG Commissioners would have loved to been with him on that hunting trip. Killing the family was not Blake’s issue, just posting the photos of it, but heck we still pay him to find me Commissioners who like killing stuff- especially wolves,” said the Governor.
Gov. Little turned back to the reporter as he was leaving to say, “It’s not like we are the poster child of animal cruelty… are we?”
