WASHINGTON D.C. (Enviro Snowflake Brief)—In an inexplicable timing move, Secretary Zinke decided to announce this morning his nominee, Billy the EXTERMINATOR, to fill the vacancy to head the National Park Service (NPS).
According to one White House staffer, “We love the celebrity pick, but Trump is livid that Zinke would grandstand POTUS prior to the Supreme Court nominee announcement on prime-time TV tonight.”
Another red-faced staffer lamented, “the Billy the Exterminator pick will fire up our base like you won’t believe, but the SCJ announcement is equally big with them and it should have come first.”
“Actually, POTUS personally recommended Billy appreciating his camera appeal, but this timing is not going to end well for Zinke,” the staffer added.
Early word from anonymous sources in Secretary Zinke’s office was that the pressure to appoint the current Superintendent of Grand Teton Park, David Vela, who has been with the Service on and off for 37 years, was mounting within the Service.
Zinke was overheard saying, “nothing is going to stop Billy from getting this post.”
Billy the Exterminator was on location filming his A&E show, but gave a brief quote, “cool man”.
